Cyclist dead following collision with car in Thornbury

Emergency services responded to a serious accident involving a vehicle and a cyclist. According to provincial police, the incident occurred on Highway 26, situated between 11 Line and 10 Line in Thornbury, shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The 59-year-old cyclist was pronounced deceased at Meaford General Hospital. The driver of the vehicle cooperated fully with law enforcement during the investigation. A portion of Highway 26 was closed for several hours between the 11 Line and 10 Line. The investigation remains active.
